§ 12. Captain Pilkingtonasked the Minister of Works what action he is taking in regard to the proposed widening of the secondary road between Carlisle and Newcastle in order to prevent any damage to Hadrian's Wall.
§ Mr. MolsonI would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation to my hon. Friend the Member for Tynemouth (Dame Irene Ward) on 17th June. Arrangements have been made for his Department and mine to be consulted about all schemes for the improvement of the Carlisle—Newcastle road which affect the Wall or its associated works.
