§ Mr. T. G. D. GalbraithJust over 300,000 gross registered tons of new merchant shipping are at present on order or under construction in Clydeside shipyards for foreign ownership. Over one-third of this tonnage is actually under construction. No foreign orders in these yards have been cancelled this year.
