§ 1. Mr. Remnantasked the Secretary of State for Air why married Service personnel, for whom no married quarters are available, are being given notice to remove their caravans from Royal Air Force stations.

Mr. WardNo general instruction of this kind has been issued. Where no other arrangements can be made, and the local authorities raise no objection, officers and airmen may be allowed to site caravans on Air Ministry land. Permission can naturally be given only where there is adequate sanitation, and where we are satisfied that the caravans will not be a nuisance to other families on the station.
