HC Deb 31 July 1958 vol 592 c194W
114. Sir W. Anstruther-Gray

asked the Postmaster-General how many applications for telephones in Berwickshire are outstanding; and what delay he envisages before they are satisfied.

Mr. K. Thompson

Fifteen. We hope to meet ten of these applications within the next few weeks, but a longer period will be needed for the others because plant is not immediately available.

During the past 12 months 77 telephones have been installed in Berwickshire.
