§ 74. Sir W. Stewardasked the Minister of Labour whether he will consult the hotel and catering industry itself, before deciding upon the terms of the legislation under which the Catering Wages Boards will be converted into wages councils.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodI informed the House on 9th July that I was putting a more detailed account of the Government's intentions in this matter to the National Joint Advisory Council on 23rd July. The Council has expressed its general concurrence with what is proposed, and I am now taking the same action with the organisations especially concerned with the catering industry.
