§ 77. Mr. Leatherasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what review he is making of the pensions of ex-servants of Her Majesty whose terms of engagement included an understanding of a pension at a higher rate of subsistence than has in the event been obtained.
§ Mr. SimonPublic service pensions are related to length of service and 57W retiring salary. They are not given on the basis of subsistence or need and the question therefore does not arise.
