§ Mr. WatkinsonExcluding the considerable road works in Basildon New Town, five major and six minor improvement schemes on trunk and classified roads have been carried out in Basildon Urban District, and five major, four minor and two traffic signal schemes in Brentwood Urban District. In addition, five major schemes are in progress in the former and two major and one minor in the latter.
