§ 59. Mr. Bottomleyasked the Under-Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations if he will make a statement about the deliberations of the Commonwealth Economic Committee.
§ Mr. AlportIn addition to the Committee's regular publications and services, it is preparing the second volume of its Report on the Raw Materials of the Commonwealth, the present position regarding which is described in the reply given to the right hon. Member by my right hon. Friend the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs on 12th June. The Committee is also considering in response to a request made to it by Commonwealth Prime Ministers last summer a possible expansion of its scope and functions. The Committee hopes to have its report on this matter available for consideration by the Commonwealth Trade and Economic Conference at Montreal in September.
