§ Mr. R. A. ButlerThe Council has urged the need for increased restrictions on the use of airguns by young persons and the collection of statistics of injuries resulting from the use of airguns. I have received no evidence which would seem to call for an amendment of the existing law, but, at my request, my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health is seeking to obtain information as to the number of cases of injuries caused by airguns treated at eye hospitals in recent years. The returns for which he has asked are not yet complete and it is too early to draw any conclusions from those received.
