§ Mr. Callaghanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will show, in tabular form for each year from 1952 to 1956 inclusive, how many of the subordinate grades of the prison service 199W applied to take the staff course for promotion to assistant governor; how many passed the qualifying examination; how many were successful before the selection board and took the staff course; and how many were finally appointed as assistant governors.
