HC Deb 21 January 1958 vol 580 cc157-8W
112. Lady Tweedsmuir

asked the Minister of Defence whether a decision has yet been reached on the siting of rocket ranges in Scotland.

114. Mr. Emrys Hughes

asked the Minister of Defence what additional Civil Defence expenditure he estimates will be necessary as a result of the establishment of new rocket bases in Scotland.

Mr. Sandys

I believe that my hon. Friend has in mind rocket sites and not rocket ranges. Discussions with the United States Government about the supply of intermediate range ballistic missiles are still proceeding and no decisions about the siting of them have yet been taken.
