HC Deb 21 January 1958 vol 580 c149W
Sir L. Plummer

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the Government of Dominica approved the posting of a candidate's electoral posters to the walls of a police station, the polling stations, Government House and Government Office during the recent general election; why these posters were not immediately removed and whether this practice will be forbidden at the forthcoming Federal election to be held in the Colony next March.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

Before the recent general election one candidate's poster was fixed to the walls surrounding the Roseau Police Station, Government House and the main Government office. This was not contrary to electoral law, but the practice is agreed to be undesirable and it will be forbidden at the forthcoming Federal election.
