§ Mr. Brockwayasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what action is being taken to improve communications in the Southern Cameroons, in view of the complaint made in the Annual Report of the Medical Department that there is no air, river or railway service for the evacuation of patients or the transport of staff or medical stores.
§ Mr. ProfumoBetter communications are certainly required in the Cameroons, and every effort is being made to improve them. The cost and the practical difficulties owing to the difficult terrain and the very many rains are formidable.
