§ 69. Mr. Randallasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation why he has approved the erection of one "Halt" sign at the junction of Coatswarth Road and Whitehall Road, Gateshead, after repeated requests that two "Halt" signs were required having regard to the accident record.
§ Mr. Nugent"Halt" signs are appropriate only when visibility is severely restricted. This applies to the eastern area of this junction; but conditions on the western area can be better dealt with by some minor improvements which have been agreed between my officers and the borough council.
