§ Mr. Ness Edwardsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what amount of pit-timber was sold by the Forestry Commission to the South-Western Region of the National Coal Board for the last full year, directly and through agents, respectively.
§ Mr. John HareBetween 1st July, 1956, and 30th June, 1957, the Forestry Commission sold and delivered to the South Western Division of the National Coal Board through agents 37,700 tons of mining timber. None was sold directly. Some timber was also sold to merchants but it is not known how much was converted to pit-wood and sold in turn to the Board.
