There are five inspectors under the Cruelty to Animals Act, 1876, all of whom are medically qualified. Their names and qualifications are:

Chief Inspector: Dr. P. L. C. Carrier. C.B.E., M.D., B.S., M.R.C.S., M.R.C.P., D.P.H.

Inspectors: Dr. F. Elliott, M.B., B.S., T.D., Dr. E. H. Hall, O.B.E., M.B., B.Ch., B.A.O., D.P.H.; Group Captain G. Struan Marshall. O.B.E., F.R.S.E., M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P., L.D.S., R.C.S., D.P.H., D.T.M. and H.; and Dr. B. Walker, M.A., M.R.C.S., M.R.C.P., M.B., B.S.
