HC Deb 11 February 1958 vol 582 c34W
92 and 93. Mrs. Cullen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will consider the introduction of legislation to prohibit young persons under the age of 16 years from being in possession of airguns;

(2) what evidence he has received regarding danger to the public caused by persons under the age of 16 years using airguns, which might call for an amendment of existing law.

Mr. Maclay

I have received very few representations about the possession or use of airguns by young persons and have no evidence to suggest that legislation on the subject is necessary.
