§ Mr. Patrick Maitlandasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is aware that whereas in England and Wales a local government elector has the right to inspect the minutes of the full proceedings of a local authority on payment of 1s., this right does not exist in Scotland except in the case of the sub-committees of education, welfare, planning and health; and whether he will consider bringing the Scottish position in this respect into line with that of England and Wales.
§ Mr. MaclayMy noble Friend the Minister of State discussed this matter with the Scottish local authority associations on 7th February. The discussions are proceeding.
