asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty how many strikes have been called by the General Workers Union during 1957 at the Malta Dockyard; and if he will give the dates when these took place and the duration of each dispute.

Two strikes, each of one hour's duration, were called by the General Workers' Union at the Malta Dockyard during 1957, namely, on 2nd August and 29th November. A third strike, of 2½ hours' duration, was called on 3rd January, 1958.
