§ Mr. R. A. ButlerThe changes in the defence programme are likely to reduce the work done for the Service Departments, but I cannot at the moment forecast the extent of the reduction. The industrial adviser whom I have recently appointed to assist the Prison Commissioners is paying particular attention to the need for more varied and better quality work in prisons.
