§ Commander Purseyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs what deferred housing, sewerage, drainage, water and other projects in Hull he will now approve, as the result of the Government's decision to ease the restrictions on capital expenditure, in order forthwith to reduce the increasing unemployment in Hull.
§ Mr. BevinsNo housing, sewerage, drainage or water projects in Hull are at present being deferred because of any request of my right hon. Friend. He is at present examining a renewed proposal by the Corporation to acquire land near the City centre for the erection of a block of shops and offices; and if the Corporation have other projects in mind my right hon. Friend is ready to give them sympathetic consideration.
