§ 93. Mr. Liptonasked the Minister of Labour which six employment exchanges in the London area have the largest number of registered unemployed; how many of them are registered at each of these exchanges; and what is the total number of unemployed in the London area.
§ Mr. WoodThe six employment exchanges which together with the corresponding youth employment offices had the largest number of registered unemployed on 17th November, 1958, were Brook Green—3,723; Brixton—3,210; Edgware Road—2,872; Stepney—2,561; Hackney—2,419; and Holloway—2,378. There were 61,296 unemployed in the London area on the same date.
