§ Dame Irene Wardasked the Minister o Health whether, in view of a recent advertisement from a London teaching hospital of a post specified only for men, he will slate the policy of Her Majesty's Government with regard to sex discrimination in selection for hospital appointments.
§ Mr. Walker-SmithIt is considered that as a general rule applications for hospital appointments should be invited from suitably qualified applicants of either sex. It is recognised however that special circumstances may make it advisable to invite applications for certain posts from members of one sex only.
