§ Mr. Pitmanasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that a stable boarding school education is as appropriate for the children of civil 94W servants who are subject to frequent postings at home as for the children of those posted overseas; and, in view of the adverse effects of breaks in schooling caused by postings within the United Kingdom, whether he will consider making the education allowances paid to home service civil servants posted overseas payable to all civil servants affected by posting.
§ Mr. SimonI cannot accept that a posting within this country commonly carries the same disadvantage as a posting overseas, where a lack of suitable schools is a feature of many of the stations concerned.
