§ 90. Mr. Rankinasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what is the total sum, to the nearest convenient date, which has been spent on the maintenance and development of the various civil airports in Scotland and England, respectively, since 1945.
§ Mr. NeaveThe total sum borne on the Vote of my Department between 1945 and 31st March, 1958, on the development of aerodromes administered by the Department in Scotland and England, respectively, is approximately £3.7 million and £34.5 million. Compresenhive information about the corresponding maintenance expenditure is not available, but I estimate that about 20 per cent. relates to aerodromes in Scotland.
