§ 68. Mr. Chetwyndasked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance whether he will amend the National Assistance regulations to permit an applicant to claim National Assistance in his own right at the age of 15 years instead of 16 years as at present.
§ Miss PittThis is not a matter of regulations, but was fixed by Parliament in Section 7 (5) of the National Assistance Act, 1948. My right hon. Friend has no proposals to amend it.
