Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how many British and African officers, respectively, have, during each of the last five years, transferred from the Southern Rhodesia Civil Service to Her Majesty's Overseas Civil Service for service in Nyasaland; on what terms and conditions as regards pensions, compensation and otherwise each of these transfers was made; and whether he is satisfied that those terms and conditions were and are being strictly observed and performed in every one of these cases.
