§ 118. Mr. Liptonasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether, in view of the evidence given to the Royal Commission on the Reform of London Government proposing a single authority to regulate London traffic, he will set up such an authority to facilitate the flow of traffic.
§ Mr. WatkinsonThe setting up of a single central authority to regulate London traffic would require extensive new legislation which would be bound to impinge in many respects on the matters now being considered by the Royal Commission on Local Government in Greater London. The Government therefore propose to await the Royal Commission's report.
