HC Deb 02 December 1958 vol 596 c107W
63. Mr. Mathew

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer on what date he anticipates that the last of the Government's creditors under the post-war credit scheme will be repaid provided there is no change in the present system of settlement.

Mr. Amory

It is estimated that if the present rules were not changed, all but about 2 per cent. of the post-war credits originally outstanding would have been repaid by 1988.
