§ Mr. Mossasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation whether he will make a statement on the future of Elmdon Airport.
§ Mr. WatkinsonI recently made further proposals to the Birmingham Corporation about the terms under which I should be ready to participate in the development and operation of the airport if, when derequisitioned, it is handed back to the corporation. Discussions are now proceeding. I hope that the corporation may be able to agree to accept a substantial share of responsibility for the future administration of the airport.
