HC Deb 02 April 1958 vol 585 c147W
56. Mr. Frank Anderson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what representations he has made to the Roumanian authorities in support of an application made by Mr. Albert German, a British subject, for a visa to enable him to visit his 82-year-old mother in Roumania; and what were the results of these representations.

Mr. Ian Harvey

Her Majesty's Legation in Bucharest first approached the Roumanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs about this case in July, 1957, when the latter promised to consider it and give a decision. The Legation made a further approach last February, but I regret to say that Mr. German has still received no reply to his application. We shall continue to do what we can to help him.
