HC Deb 02 April 1958 vol 585 c141W
Sir A. Bossom

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation what estimate he has made of how much more it cost proportionately to carry on road repairs, alterations and changes during the full 24 hours of the day instead of only during the normal working time of eight hours a day as is frequently the case.

Mr. Watkinson

Working day and night, as opposed to normal day working, tends to add from 15 per cent. to 25 per cent. to the cost of road works.
