HC Deb 02 April 1958 vol 585 c149W
64. Mr. H. Fraser

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs why, although 20 months have elapsed since the agreement with Hungary on compensation for dispossessed British nationals, no Order in Council has yet been made instructing the Foreign Compensation Commission to assess and investigate claims; and what action he proposes to take in the matter.

Mr. Ian Harvey

My right hon. and learned Friend regrets the delay in drafting this Order, which was due to a number of very complicated legal problems. it is now complete, and the draft is to be submitted to Her Majesty in Council tomorrow.
