asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he is aware that the price of bread is due to be increased again, making the ordinary loaf 1s.; and whether, in view of this further price increase, he will now reintroduce price control.

My veterinary officers keep a very close watch on this trade and no animal is allowed to be exported unless it is considered fit to travel and has been fully rested. Exports are permitted only to countries whose Governments have undertaken to comply with the conditions announced in my statement to the House on 1st July. These are at present Holland, Western Germany and France.
