Robson-Brownasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will introduce legislation to empower him to require information from the joint stocks banks of unclaimed bank deposits at present lying at their disposal and enabling him to require that any deposits unclaimed after a certain period should be placed to the Exchequer Account.
§ Mr. P. ThorneycroftI can see no need or justification for legislation on these lines.
