§ Mr. J. N. BrowneThe number of houses completed in 1957 is likely to be much the same as in 1956. Thereafter, the normal decline which began after the peak year of 1953 may be expected to continue, but it is not possible to gauge at present the effect of the recent increase in the rate of interest.
