§ Sir A. Bossomasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will take powers to require manufacturers of insecticides to print specific antidotes, in cases of poisoning, on the labels of containers of poisonous substances.
§ Mr. GodberNo. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department already has power to make rules about the labelling of poisons but, as he explained in reply to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Rochdale (Lieut.-Colonel Schofield) on 29th April, 1954, the Poisons Board has advised against legislation requiring labels to state antidotes.
