asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a list of all Government Departments which erect buildings or give permission for the erection of buildings, by other authorities.

The main Government Departments which erect buildings areAdmiralty, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Department of Agriculture for Scotland, Air Ministry, Forestry Commission, Post Office, Prison Commission, Ministry of Supply, Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, War Office, Ministry of Works.

The main Departments which give any form of permission for the erection of buildings by other authorities are: Ministry of Education, Scottish Education Department, Ministry of Health, Department of Health for Scotland, Home Office, Scottish Home Department, Ministry of Housing and Local Government, Ministry of Power.
