HC Deb 21 November 1957 vol 578 c66W
73. Mr. Benn

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what facilities there are in Government schools in Nyasaland for tuition up to University of London entrance examination.

Mr. Profumo

At present there are no such facilities in Nyasaland itself, but African secondary schools there prepare pupils for the Cambridge School Certificate examination. After this, those pupils who are considered capable of proceeding to the Cambridge Higher School Certificate go either to Munali Secondary School in Northern Rhodesia or to Goromonzi Secondary School in Southern Rhodesia for tuition up to University of London entrance standard.
