asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, in view of the fact that the performance of no legitimate trade or employment would in any way be hindered by the total prohibition of the use of spring clip knives, whether he will introduce legislation with a view to such prohibition.

For various reasons I do not consider that such legislation is practicable or necessary.
