asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many improperly parked motor cars have been towed away by the Metropolitan Police since the scheme was initiated.

I am informed by the Commissioner of Police that during the period from 1st May, when The Removal of Vehicles (England and Wales) Regulations, 1957, came into force, to 10th November 2,304 vehicles were removed from the roads in the Metropolitan Police District.
