asked the Minister of Labour how many persons resident in Littlehampton and Shoreham-by-Sea, respectively, were registered as unemployed at the last available date compared with the same date last year.

The available figures relate to employment exchange areas. At 14th October, 1957, there were 214 registered as unemployed at Littlehampton Employment Exchange and 209 at the Shoreham-by-Sea Employment Exchange. The corresponding figures for 15th October, 1956, were 152 and 207, respectively.
