HC Deb 11 November 1957 vol 577 c18W
55. Mr. W. Griffiths

asked the Minister of Health, as representing the Lord President of the Council, whether he can now say how many of the 40,000 doctors involved in the Medical Research Council's smoking survey have ceased to smoke since the findings which were revealed in June, 1957.

Mr. Walker-Smith

An investigation is at present taking place to obtain information on the current smoking habits of the doctors included in the Medical Research Council survey originally undertaken in 1951, but the results are not yet available.
