§ Mr. Walker-SmithAt 31st December, 1956, there was an estimated deficiency of 523 whole-time radiographers in England and Wales—i.e. 14.8 per cent. of establishment. The corresponding figure at 30th June, 1957, was 563—i.e. 15.7 per cent. of establishment. The actual numbers employed fell by only 3 during this period. Comparable figures for 1955 are not available.
