HC Deb 11 November 1957 vol 577 c7W
6. Mr. Stonehouse

asked the Minister of Pensions and National Insurance whether he will arrange for the Medical Appeal Tribunal to reconsider the claim for disablement benefit made by Mr. George Taylor of 47, Rough Hay Road, Darlaston, Staffordshire.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

As was explained to the hon. Member by the Joint Parliamentary Secretary on 29th July, I have no power to interfere with the operation of Medical Appeal Tribunals. As was pointed out to the hon. Member, it is open to Mr. Taylor to make an application to the determining authority for a review of the decision on any of the grounds laid down in the Act.
