§ 53. Mr. Sorensenasked the Prime Minister if the proposal by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics that the question of nuclear tests should be settled independently and immediately apart from continued consideration by the United 56W Nations Sub-Committee on general disarmament has now received the attention of Her Majesty's Government; and if Her Majesty's Government will themselves propose early consultation between medical and scientific authorities within the areas of the great Powers with a view to reaching agreement on the cumulative pathological consequences of nuclear tests initiated by each of those Powers.
