HC Deb 06 May 1957 vol 569 c41W
61 and 62. Mr. Beswick

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is Her Majesty's Government's policy towards the most recent disarmaments proposals made by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics;

(2) if he will now state what proposals have been put forward by Her Majesty's Government to the present meeting of the United Nations Disarmament Sub-Committee.

Mr. Ian Harvey:

Her Majesty's Government are carefully studying the new Soviet proposals. As my right hon. and learned Friend said on 1st May, we are also considering the desirability of a statement on the general state of the discussion in the Sub-Committee.
