§ Captain Kerbyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will state the number of Foreign Service officers who have left the service during the past year, and particularly during the last six months, and the reasons why.
§ Mr. Ian Harvey:The total number of established Foreign Service officers who have left each branch of the Service during the past twelve months is set out below. The figures for those Who have left the Service during the past six months are shown in brackets. It is undesirable and, in many oases, impossible to tabulate the variety of personal reasons for which individual officers have resigned or have been transferred from the service.
