§ Sir D. EcclesImports, of drugs, medicines and medicinal preparations, excluding antibiotics, from the United States were valued at £1.1 million in 1956. These goods were not separately specified in the trade returns for 1951, but imports in that year are estimated to have been of the same order as in 1956.
