§ Commander NobleThe General Assembly of the United Nations has authorised the Secretary-General to accept commitments in respect of the United Nations Emergency Force up to $16.5 million for the period ending 31st December, 1957.
The sum of £140,000, to be paid towards the United Kingdom share of this amount, was voted in the Supplementary Estimates in February. The currency in which this part of our contribution will be paid, and the arrangements for payment of the remainder of the United Kingdom contribution, are at present under consideration.
